its that time of the year again. the time when the air starts smelling funny, and visibility is greatly reduced. streets are flanked on both sides with tea leaves, strange biscuits and other weird stuff. candles with a large amount of red wax surrounding the wick, if you can call it one, are lit with gusto. giant fires are lit, and for once, the all-complaining singaporean refuse to find the MP to complain about the fires happening around his block. and when it rains, people with breathing problems rejoice for the fires are put out, the air clears, and the tea leaves are finally used to make tea. its the time when people who tell you what kind of bf/gf to get, what to eat, and what to wear start burning incense. yes, even deejays burn incense to our 'brothers'. it is also the time when (translucent) people start getting more visible. not that kenneth needs more sightings. we also complain to our friends about our crazy parents who insist on burning things only to go home and be forced to burn some piles strange paper. suddenly some people turn up missing when the hour gets late. no fear, however, as these people have opted to return home early for they fear that what they do not know will harm them. thats right. the seventh month is upon us.
